Document an Unavailable Employee

Introduction

If you are contacted by someone who is going to be unavailable for a period of time, even if it’s an estimated period, this must be tracked. Tracking employees who are not available for work is crucial to determining the appropriate termination pay for a person.

HOW TO DOCUMENT AN UNAVAILABLE EMPLOYEE

Within the Person file, select the Quick Note button.

From the Note Code drop-down, select the option – NV – NOT AVAILABLE.

In the Available From drop-down, choose Specify Date (or choose ‘tomorrow’ or ‘next Monday’), then using the calendar picker select the date the Person will be available again. Be sure to enter in the details regarding the absence in the note area for future reference. Select Save to complete the Note.
