Did You Know? Move Company Contact Location

Did you know you can move a contact from one location to another in Stafftrak?

In Stafftrak, every Company Contact that is created is automatically assigned to a Company Location. For Companies that have multiple locations, you can move a Contact between those locations in Stafftrak. You can also move a contact from one Company to another.

Moving a Client’s contact file may be necessary if they need to be associated with a particular Company/location for billing purposes or if they leave one company to go work for another who is also your customer.

How to move the Contact’s location:

  • Go to Client Contact profile in Stafftrak and select Edit
  • Find the field called Company and select the magnify glass to search for the location
  • Company Search will appear with a list of Locations that exist on that Company file
  • Select the location you want by clicking on the Numeric Location code (Ex: 0001, 0002)
  • The location description will change when selected
  • Select Save on client contact profile to complete

To move the contact to another Company file:

  • Follow the same steps as above but instead of clicking the magnifying glass to find locations for the current company file you are in, Remove the name of the Current company from the Company field and type in the name of the new company.
  • Hit the magnifying glass to pull up the company and select the appropriate Location code
  • Select Save on the client contact file to complete
